Happy Saturday everyone! How are you? How was your week? Looking forward to another bank holiday weekend? Yup me too, the Young Man and I are heading to Lancaster and Crafty Vintage today, what are your plans?
I love this time of year! As soon as the bank holidays start to kick in, it seems every weekend, and at least one week night is filled up with exciting plans! In May alone I have a weekend in Brighton lined up followed by one in Wales, and last weekend, as you'll have seen from my instagram, I was in Lincoln.

Hello and Happy Tuesday! I know, two posts in two days! Sorry didn't mean to give you a fright! What can I say this weekend and my new template has got me all motivated!
I always take it for granted that people reading this know I am a northerner born and bred forgetting that the wonder of the internet means that you can know my inner deepest darkest thoughts without ever having heard my Yorkshire accent.
So for any of you who didn't know, I'm a Yorkshire lass, although currently, I live in Lancashire. I have spent my entire life up North, and the last 8 years crossing back and forth over the Pennines. I grew up in York, went to University in Lancashire, lived for a while in Manchester and now find myself in Blackburn.
Yes sometimes the bright lights of London seem alluring especially when you consider I work in the arts, and unfortunately the majority of funding does still head south (yeah I said it). But I love the North, and when I when I hear people bleating out the old cliches about it being grim or boring I do actually get a little mad.
So when The Car People got in touch asking me to shout loud and proud that it's Not So Grim Up North it was an easy YES. So for those of you who aren't convinced, or for those of you who are by my side fighting the good fight, here is a list of why It's Not So Grim Up North....

Hi guys, how are you? This week feels very long after last weeks 3 day treat, but it's been a really productive one! I've done a lot of focusing and thinking about the future (at the moment I'm all about gaining some clarity on my wants and needs - blog post coming soon!) and all of this has left me longing for a real holiday. Because nothing really clears your mind like a trip abroad does it (and if you're not convinced read Sophie's post about how getting away can do just that!)?
However, while the Young Man might be jet setting off here there and everywhere, I'm stuck here in the UK probably until June. I shouldn't complain though because I know others won't of been on holiday in years (bin there sista) and while it might feel like forever ago, it isn't actually that long since I was in Lyon.
So to remind myself of that I thought I'd share a little photo diary with you here today!

H A P P Y F R I D A Y!
Wherever you are I hope you are wrapped up warm and cosy, and not quite as cold as I am! Do you have exciting plans for the weekend coming up? Mine are pretty domestic, housewroks, coffee and maybe a dog walk on Sunday. The types of weekend that are good for the soul (and the state of my flat) but not alllll that exciting. Unlike say, a weekend in Dublin...

Hello everyone! And a very happy Wednesday! How the devil are you? I'm currently busy working away on the cup of creative interviews for next month, and I have to say I am really REALLY enjoying them, even though I have this sinking feeling that it is all a little last minute and everything is going to take a lot longer than I think it will. I'm planning on being a little offline over the next week or so, as I get my new blog design uploaded and work on actually getting into some sort of routine, so things will continue to be a little quiet!
However, I am here TODAY, and I thought it was about time I shared some more photos with you from our trip to Lisbon, and specifically our day in Belem.

Hi everyone, and happy Tuesday! How are you? Me? I'm very very sore, after a go karting incident this weekend, has left me with many bruises and a sprained wrist. Happy Wednesday everyone! As I'm currently getting giddy about flying off to Lisbon tomorrow I thought I had better get around to actually sharing my photos from the trip to Brighton I took at the beginning of May!
While I was actually in Brighton for the fringe festival with work, the gorgeous weather and being joined by the Young Man definitely gave me that summer holiday feeling! Plus, I say it was work trip, but when your job is to go and see lots of theatre, it is never going to feel too much like work. Well, at least if you love theatre as much as I do it isn't! Anyway back to Brighton...

Happy Friday everyone, sorry it's been a little quiet here on the blog this week, but after an exciting 5 days in Brighton, I was exhausted come Wednesday and haven't yet really had a chance to catch up. That's catching up on sleep, the to do list or this blog, but this weekend is one of those rare all to myself affairs, and hopefully come Monday I'll feel like life isn't running away with me quite so much.
Looking back through these photos, bank holiday Monday feels like months ago! I think that is because this was a moment of calm in an other wise very busy couple of weeks. I'd spent the weekend working away with some young people on a residential so come the Monday I was ready for a rest, but still wanted to make the most of the day and spend some quality time with the Young Man so we headed off to my old University town of Lancaster.
