I'm going to keep this short and sweet like the perfect mince pie... partly because I'm typing it out on my phone and partly because I've already drafted several beginnings to a post today and none of them felt quite right.
I was going to tell you how much I love Christmas eve, how all the excitement and anticipation for tomorrow makes today the most magical. I even toyed with including a list of 10 things that will make today perfect for me but then I realised I'd rather be doing those things than blogging about them.
Everybody's Christmas looks different, there are family traditions and rituals that other people might just not understand. Christmas is of course a time for sharing but it is also something very personal.
So instead of trying to get that instagram shot of our Christmas Tree I'm just going to go and enjoy sitting next to it , with a cup of hot something, a giant pile of wrapping and a giddy feeling in my tummy.
However you spend the next couple of days I hope that to you, it's perfect. Hug a loved one, really pay attention to people's faces when they open their gifts and stuff yourself with goose, Turkey, nut roast or even pizza if that's tradition for you.
