10 Sunday Loves no.5...

Sunday 25 September 2016

Helloooo everyone! It's the last Sunday of the month (pause while you take that in, yup, time, fast, where's it gone etc.) and that means I get to round up all the things I've been loving lately and share them with you. When I say loving lately, it's actually been over the past two months! Because it is THAT LONG since I last shared one of these posts! But having the extra couple of weeks, actually meant some the things that were originally on this list got bumped off either by things I loved more, or because after that initial honeymoon period I just didn't live them that much afterall. Anyway, all that means is that you can rest assured knowing that these things, they are the most loved...

1. This instagram account

So lately what with all things rebranding, and having gone through a bit of a lull with my own instagram account, I've spent a lot of time thinking about colour palletes. That's when the universe sent me @designseeds on instagram and I LOVE it. I'm yet to put any of it to any real use, as I decided I actaully wanted a really simple clean blog design, and my instagram, is always going to be a mixed bag of colours, BUT, one day... I will. Maybe for home decor inspiration, or something else. In the mean time I can just enjoy all the gorgeous colours.

2. Chai Lattes

Right. I'm just going to say it. Pumpkin Spiced Lattes always leave me feeling a bit sickly. So while I wil probably still order one or two in the couple of months, for me nothing beats a chai latte. Preferably to go, on a bright but slightly cooler Autumnal day.

3. The Lush Rosie Box

Ok so I'm cheating, because technically this is a 5 in 1 recommendation, BUT, they do all come in one gorgeously wrapped package soooo, sue me. Young Man's parents very kindly bought me a Lush Rosie Gift Box for my birthday last month, and it will come as no surprise to you, that I have LOVED everything I've used so far (#bloggercliche). The Rose Jam bubbleroon made me fall in love with baths again. The Ro's Argan not only makes my skin so smooth, but I swear putting it on before bed is helping me sleep better. And the Jason and the Argan Oil shampoo bar, is giving me good hair days, despite my hair dryer and straighteners having broken! The Lush gift boxes are also amazing value, and I personally would buy the whole gift set for myself just because of this! You can find the Rosie box online here.

4. Netflix - Stranger things

I'm so behind on this I probably don't really need to talk about this show, but it's the only new show I've watched lately and I did love it, so I figured it deserved a mention!

5. M&S Colloutes

I'm not even slightly ashamed of the fact that M&S is genuinely one of my favourite shops. Some of my favourite things in my wardrobe are from their limited edition collections, and every season I end up buying one key piece. This Autumn it was a toss up between the above Colloutes and a grey Collouted jumpsuit. The jumpsuit actually won, but that isn't available online, so I thought I'd share these with you instead. Which if money allows, will hopefully also be mine, very very shortly. Buy online here.

6. Travel Sized Charles Worthington Shampoo and Conditioners

So I'm not normally one to invest a lot of money in shampoo and conditioner, because my hair is pretty robust. However, before I started using my shampoo bar from Lush I had bought a travel sized shampoo and conditioner from Charles Worthington for my trip to Edinburgh at the beginning of August and I have to admit they were gorgeous. I used the Touch of Purple shmpoo for my blonde hair, and the volume conditioner, and I would highly recommend both. Plus the tiny bottles actually lasted me practically two months, and I have a LOT of hair, so price wise they are probably pretty good value for money.

7. Book:  The Trouble with Henry and Zoe by Andy Jones

I've given up on the idea of me ever managing regular posts dedicated solely to books I've read, so instead expect to see my recommendations popping up on this list instead! I picked up 'The Trouble with Henry and Zoe' from a charity shop at the end of August, for a pound. I knew it was going to be a fairly light, romantic-ish read, and would keep me occupied on the train home if nothing else. But I actually ended up really really enjoying it. I wasn't wrong in my expectations, it probably does fall under the term 'chick lit' (a term I hate) but I really enjoyed the writing and the characters. So much so I read it in a day! So if in between serious books, and you feel like you need something easy to read, but still good, I'd definitely recommend picking up a copy of this!

8. Pumpkin and Sage Mezze Lune from the Co-op

Mezze Lune is basically, stuffed fresh pasta. Pumpkin and Sage Mezze Lune from the Co-op is basically heaven. I'm not even exaggerating. It is a little pricey for stuffed pasta, but, IF, you want something super simple but super delicous for dinner, get yourself a packet. Cook, drizzle in olive oil, a squeeze of lemon and black pepper and take a little pumpkin pillow ride to heaven.

9. Olivia Burton Watches

I already mentioned in this post how much Young Man knocked it out of the park for my birthday this year, but I don't think I properly mentioned the present he brought me. A beautiful Olivia Burton Watch. I've wanted a new wrist watch for ages now, one that you could definitely also class as jewelery but I'd never even heard of Olivia Burton watches, so the fact that Young Man managed to find something so incredibly to my taste is pretty impressive! Her watches are beautiful, with intiricately designed faces, and gorgeous coloured straps. Yes, they're bit pricier than your high street piece, so worth it, for something I will probably wear for years to come.

10. You guys...

And last but not least, here are some posts I've loved over the past month or two...

>I could relate to all of this from Gala Darling 'When the Flame of Your Passion Starts To Flicker'
>Liza got me thinking about needing and wanting mentors in your life with her post 'To Those Who Give Good Guidance'
>Like pretty much everyone else in the blgosphere I felll in love with Michelle's Shed
>I thought this from Katy was so interesting on 'The Struggles of being a Third Culture Kid'
> And I thought this on 'Blooming' from Anya was so beautifully honest and relatable.

What have you been loving lately? Any tv recommendations in particular because I'm in a bit of a netflix stump! x
